Network security, and lately AI
I lead HPE's security consulting team across Asia Pacific and Japan. What I build on my own time sits where the two things I care about meet: network security — firewall architecture, 5G core, the protocols underneath — and AI, which is where most of my curiosity has gone recently. If you're working on the same problems, I'd like to hear from you.
I lead the security consultants across Asia Pacific and Japan at HPE — the people who sit with customers and work out what a secure architecture actually looks like for them.
Firewall architecture and Junos policy design, plus 5G core: GTP-U and PFCP inspection, roaming exposure, and the gap between what the spec assumes and what an operator runs.
Learning by building — Python and Jupyter for anything data-shaped, models pointed at traffic and telemetry, and a long-running experiment in matching Chinese calligraphy by hand shape.
If you're enthusiastic about either field and want to compare notes, argue about an approach, or build something together, email is the fastest way in.
